Here are a few highlights of the many events happening at KEEP and the ACK:
Yamane Museum To Be Featured on NHK Television Program
Sunday, July 7 at 7:30 pm on the show called Darwin Came! 「ダーウィンがきた!」
The museum will be featured in the Darwin News (“ダーウィンニュース”) section of the program. If you are in Japan or have access to NHK broadcasting, be sure to tune in!
Events at KEEP
Yamane (Japanese Dormouse) School
Saturday, June 13 (2 night program for families)
Join KEEP staff in research and learn about the Japanese dormouse. Program conducted in Japanese language.
Ichiban Hoshi Camp (First Star Camp)
Saturday, June 27 (overnight camp)
This program is for junior and senior high students to learn leadership skills as the direct the "kid village" created by the campers. The campers gain self-confidence as they pitch tents, and learn to live in community together for the weekend.
Mori no Yochien (Kindergarten in the Woods)
Saturday, July 4 (2 night program for families)
Connect with nature on this unique opportunity for preschool children and their parents or caregivers. The program has group time and activities for children and adults separately to explore the wonders of nature. To learn more about the program, see page 4 of the Spring Newsletter here.
